A. Location Data (The Specifics)

Permission Required: ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION

Why we need it: To calculate the accurate Qibla direction, the app needs to know your current geographical coordinates (Latitude and Longitude). The direction of the Qibla varies entirely depending on where you are standing on the Earth.

How we use it:

  • Local Processing: Your location data is retrieved directly from your device's GPS hardware.
  • Purpose: This data is used solely to perform a mathematical calculation (using geodesic algorithms) to determine the angle between your device and Mecca.
  • No Storage or Transmission: We do not store your location history, and we do not transmit your location coordinates to any external server. The location data stays on your device and is discarded from memory as soon as the calculation is complete or the app is closed.

B. Device Information

We may collect non-personal device information (such as Android version or device model) solely for the purpose of app stability and compatibility checking. This is handled automatically by the Android operating system.

While our app is designed to be "Offline," it is built within the Android ecosystem. We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, provide the Service on our behalf, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used (e.g., Google Play Console crash reporting).

Since this app processes critical data (Location) locally, the security relies largely on the security of your own mobile device.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
